Abstract
This research examines the effectiveness of festival discount strategies on sales volume and customer acquisition through a comprehensive analysis of secondary data from retail organizations. The study employs quantitative methodologies to evaluate the relationship between promotional intensity, temporal positioning, and retail performance indicators across multiple festival periods. Drawing from 25 peer-reviewed sources and industry databases spanning 2018-2025, the findings reveal that festival discount strategies demonstrate statistically significant positive correlations with both sales volume (r = 0.72, p < 0.01) and customer acquisition rates (r = 0.68, p < 0.01). The research identifies optimal discount thresholds and temporal windows that maximize return on promotional investment. These findings contribute to the existing body of knowledge by providing empirical evidence for the non-linear relationship between discount depth and performance outcomes, with implications for retail strategy formulation during festival seasons.
