Abstract
This study assessed the quality of business plan outputs prepared by Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) students at Agay National High School, Remedios T. Romualdez, Agusan del Norte. Specifically, it examined the quality of business plans in terms of content, organization, feasibility, and presentation, as well as the enabling factors influencing business plan preparation, including teachers’ guidance, availability of resources, teamwork, and time management. A descriptive-evaluative research design utilizing documentary analysis was employed. The respondents consisted of 150 ABM students and three teacher evaluators, from whom 30 grouped business plan outputs were purposively selected and assessed using a researcher-developed curriculum-based checklist and validated survey questionnaire. Data were analyzed using weighted mean and regression analysis. Findings revealed that the overall quality of business plan outputs was high, with content obtaining the highest rating and feasibility receiving the lowest. Likewise, enabling factors were highly evident, with teamwork emerging as the strongest factor, followed by time management, teachers’ guidance, and resource availability. Regression analysis further confirmed that all enabling factors significantly predicted business plan quality. Based on the findings, a Business Plan Enhancement Program was proposed to strengthen students’ entrepreneurial competencies, particularly in feasibility analysis, collaborative learning, teacher mentoring, and access to entrepreneurial resources.
