Abstract

This research article examines the human resource (HR) practices implemented at Big SI Bucks Innovation Private Limited and their influence on employee retention. In an increasingly competitive business landscape, retaining skilled human capital has emerged as a critical organizational priority. The study employs a descriptive research design, collecting primary data from 50 employees via a structured questionnaire, supplemented by secondary data from HR journals and company records. Key HR dimensions analysed include recruitment and selection, training and development, compensation and benefits, work environment, performance appraisal, and employee engagement. Statistical tools such as percentage analysis and graphical representation were used for data interpretation. Findings reveal that employees are largely satisfied with recruitment procedures (72%), training programs (74%), and the work environment, while compensation structures and career growth pathways require improvement. Salary and benefits emerged as the dominant retention factor (36%), followed by work environment (24%) and career growth (20%). The article concludes with actionable suggestions for strengthening HR policies to reduce turnover and foster long-term organisational commitment.
