Artificial Intelligence in Human Resource Management: A Qualitative Study on Transformation, Efficiency, and Employee Experience

Abstract
This qualitative study examines the growing integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Human Resource Management (HRM) and its influence on organizational efficiency, decision-making, and employee experience. The research explores how AI-driven technologies are transforming recruitment, performance management, employee engagement, and workforce analytics. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 20 HR professionals and employees from various industries in India to understand their perceptions, opportunities, and challenges associated with AI adoption in HR. The findings highlight themes such as automation of administrative tasks, data-driven decision-making, bias reduction, employee personalization, ethical concerns, and skill transformation. The study provides practical insights for organizations seeking to implement AI responsibly while maintaining human-centric HR practices.
