Abstract
The present study titled “A Study on Effective Recruitment and Selection for IT Professionals” focuses on analysing the recruitment and selection practices followed at Fortura Tech, Nagercoil. The study examines sourcing methods, screening procedures, interview techniques, and selection criteria adopted to hire IT professionals. It also evaluates the effectiveness of these practices in terms of quality of hire, employee performance, and retention. The research is descriptive in nature. A convenience sampling technique was used for the study. Data were collected from 100 respondents, including HR executives and IT professionals. Statistical tools such as Percentage Analysis, One-way ANOVA, Independent Sample T-Test, and Correlation Analysis have been used to interpret the data. The findings reveal that structured recruitment processes, technical assessments, and competency-based interviews significantly contribute to effective hiring decisions. The study concludes that an efficient recruitment and selection system positively impacts employee performance and organizational growth at Fortura Tech.
