Abstract

The present research aimed to develop and assess herbal cold creams formulated with plant extracts, liquid paraffin as a lubricant, beeswax as a stabilizer, and methyl paraben as an antibacterial agent using the water-in-oil method. Neem oil and almond oil were utilized in the preparation of the cold cream to nourish and moisturize the skin. Following cream preparation, various parameters including appearance, pH, viscosity, stability, dye test, spreadability, and microbial growth were evaluated. The findings of the evaluation indicated that formulating the herbal cold cream with natural ingredients like neem and almond was promising. The formulation exhibited favorable physicochemical and microbiological stability, demonstrating characteristics akin to standard cosmeceutical skincare formulations. Overall, the study presented a commendable effort in developing herbal cosmetics, emphasizing the utilization of naturally available components for skincare purposes.
