Abstract
This study looks at how educational memes can be used as a teaching tool to improve student engagement and learning. Today, students spend a lot of time on social media, where memes are shared often and seen by many. Because of this, memes have started to play a small but noticeable role in education. They use simple language, images, and a bit of humor to explain ideas, which can make topics feel easier to approach.
The main aim of this research is to understand if memes actually help students learn better. It focuses on three things: whether memes improve understanding, increase interest in learning, and keep students more engaged. To explore this, primary data was collected through a structured questionnaire using Google Forms. In total, 85 respondents took part, all of whom actively use social media.
The results show a clear trend. Most students said they come across educational memes quite often, and many of them feel these memes make learning more enjoyable. Some also mentioned that difficult topics become easier to follow when presented in this format. Attention levels, too, seem to improve when such content is used. Not always, but often enough to matter.
In conclusion, educational memes can work well as a supportive learning tool. They are not meant to replace traditional teaching, but they can add value when used alongside it. This combination may help improve both engagement and overall learning outcomes in a simple, practical way.
