Ethical Challenges of Artificial Intelligence in Human Resource Management

Abstract

Artificial intelligence Artificial intelligence technology in human resources management (HRM) a number of significant ethical issues, which should not be ignored by either academia nor organizations. This paper will examine the ethical technically associated with the integration of (AI) technology into human resources management. It will focus on issues such as algorithmic bias, transparency, privacy, accountability, and the dehumanization of employees. In addition, this paper will conduct a systematic literature review regarding the ethical implications associated with the utilization of technology within human resources management in terms of key ethical principles such as fairness, autonomy, and dignity. The effectiveness of current legal systems, as they pertain to the utilization of artificial intelligence technology within human resources management, will also be examined. Finally, an alternative ethical framework for the application of artificial intelligence technology within human resources management will be proposed. The final discussion of this paper will discuss how the ethical implications of artificial intelligence technology applications within human resources management relate to issues of fairness, autonomy, and dignity as well as exploring what further research might need to be completed.
