Abstract
Sri Aurobindo’s Integral Yoga reveals a path to realise the Indian concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, which reflects the idea of the entire world being one big family. Based on the synthesis of spiritual practice and evolutionary philosophy, Integral Yoga goes beyond the limitations of religion, culture, and nationality, calling upon mankind to awaken to its own oneness. Aurobindo’s vision of yoga is not limited to an individual approach but aims to transform the collective consciousness of mankind, in which inner realization of oneness is used to create outer harmony. This paper seeks to reveal the ways in which Integral Yoga, which focuses on the integral development of body, mind, and spirit, can create a holistic approach to the development of universal brotherhood. In this approach, Aurobindo’s vision of integral development seeks to link individual development with collective development, thus bringing a synthesis of tradition and modernity to the concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, which can create a concept of Bharatiya human unity in line with contemporary global issues. In an age of increasing divisions and conflicts, Integral Yoga reveals itself to be a powerful pedagogy to create a sense of global citizenship in the spirit of universal brotherhood. The study highlights the relevance of Aurobindo’s thought in reimagining education, policy, and intercultural dialogue, positioning yoga as both a personal discipline and a collective ethic. Ultimately, the realization of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam through Integral Yoga reflects a vision of humanity evolving toward unity, where diversity is embraced as strength and spiritual consciousness becomes the cornerstone of global harmony.
