Abstract
Herbal products are becoming more popular all over the world because they are used in food, cosmetics, and medicines. The aim of this study was to make and test an herbal face wash gel using natural ingredients. There are different types of herbal face washes such as gel, cream, and liquid, but in this study, we focused on a gel-based face wash because it is easy to use and lasts longer. The ingredients used were extracted using a hydroalcoholic method (a mix of water and alcohol). The main herbs were Turmeric (Curcuma longa), Aloe Vera (Aloe barbadensis Linn.), Lemon (Citrus limon), and Neem (Azadirachta indica). These herbs are well known for their antioxidant, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties and are easily available in our surroundings. They are also safe and have very few or no side effects. Environmental pollution and sunlight (UV rays) can damage the skin, so herbal cosmetics help to protect and clean it naturally. In this study, the prepared face wash gel was tested for skin safety and effectiveness. The results showed that it reduced oiliness and acne on the face. Some people also noticed better skin texture and fairer complexion. This shows that the herbal face wash gel is safe, natural, and effective for daily use1.
