Abstract

Cloud application deployment can involve several challenges, including the need for technical expertise, manual configuration, selecting the right cloud resources, and difficulty estimating infrastructure costs before deployment. These challenges may arise from deployment complexity, time constraints, and the risk of selecting resources that do not align with the application’s actual requirements and budget constraints. To address these issues, this research proposes the unified web-based platform ‘Nexuscloud’, which integrates application analysis, cloud resource assessment, cost estimation, and deployment into a unified workflow. The proposed platform analyzes the application or repository to identify the relevant deployment requirements and help users select the suitable cloud configuration. The proposed approach provides a more accessible, structured workflow for users who require cloud deployment without managing various infrastructure configurations independently. NexusCloud simplifies the deployment process by providing enterprises with a centralised platform that can be used by users to manage application and deployment-related activities without independently configuring the number of components, and our platform aims to reduce the amount of manual effort involved in preparing an application for cloud deployment and provides a structured flow in order to analyse the platform. By bringing this activity together within a single web-based, unified platform, we are going to decrease the gap between application deployment and the cost of the cloud infrastructure; the proposed platform therefore provides an integrated mechanism for simplifying allowed application development while supporting cost-conscious decision-making before the application is deployed to the cloud or to the internet. NexusCloud uses predefined deployment scripts for different application environments. The integrated analyzer identifies the programming language and relevant application characteristics of the submitted repository, after which the appropriate deployment workflow and script are selected to facilitate deployment.
