Abstract
Clinical toxicology, clinical research, and therapeutic drug monitoring are closely linked disciplines that play vital roles in ensuring patient safety and optimizing treatment outcomes. Clinical toxicology focuses on understanding the adverse effects of drugs and toxic substances, aiding in the diagnosis and management of poisonings and drug-related complications. Clinical research is fundamental in evaluating the safety and efficacy of new and existing medications, providing the scientific foundation for evidence-based clinical practice. Therapeutic drug monitoring complements these fields by enabling personalized medication dosing through accurate measurement of drug concentrations, helping to reduce toxicity while enhancing therapeutic effectiveness.By working together, these areas deepen our knowledge of how drugs interact within the body and support more informed clinical decisions. Ongoing advancements in research techniques and monitoring strategies continue to promote safer, tailored treatments. At the same time, vigilant toxicological evaluation remains critical for the timely identification and management of drug-induced harm. In summary, the integration of clinical toxicology, research, and therapeutic monitoring contributes significantly to improved patient care, regulatory compliance, and medical innovation.
