Abstract
The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in e-learning has revolutionized the way educational content is delivered, personalized, and assessed. This sur- vey explores the role of AI-driven content generation in e-learning, focusing on its integration, trends, challenges, and future prospects. We categorize machine learning approaches, including traditional methods, deep learning, and hybrid models, and evaluate their application in enhancing personalized learning, adaptive assessments, and dynamic content delivery. Unlike conventional e-learning systems that rely on uniform content, AI-powered platforms offer tailored experiences by adapting to individual learners’ strengths, weaknesses, and preferences. This capability im- proves engagement and outcomes, especially in large-scale online education. The study also addresses challenges such as scalability, data quality, and ethical considerations, while exploring trends like AI-assisted curriculum development and real-time feedback systems. Despite promising results, AI-driven e-learning systems face challenges in achieving optimal performance in diverse educational contexts, presenting areas for further re- search and enhancement.
