Abstract

The shift to Work-from-home (WFH) and hybrid work models has become a defining feature of the post-pandemic workplace, particularly within the Information Technology (IT) sector. This study examines the implications of these new work structures on IT professionals employed in selected IT companies in Hyderabad. The research explores key aspects such as employee productivity, work-life balance, job satisfaction, communication efficiency, mental health, and organizational support mechanisms. Using primary and secondary data collected from a sample of professionals across multiple reputed IT firms, the study highlights the benefits and challenges experienced by employees. While the flexibility of remote work is widely appreciated, concerns like digital fatigue, limited interpersonal interaction, and difficulties in team coordination persist. The study provides insights for IT companies to design effective hybrid work policies that promote employee well-being and operational performance.
