Abstract

Semiconductor technology serves as a fundamental pillar in the advancement of renewable energy systems and wireless communication networks. This paper explores the critical role of semiconductors in enabling efficient energy conversion, storage, and transmission within solar and wind energy systems. In renewable energy, semiconductors power photovoltaic cells, manage power electronics in wind turbines, and enhance energy storage through advanced battery management systems and supercapacitors. The emergence of materials like silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN) has significantly improved power efficiency and system durability. Furthermore, semiconductors facilitate the development of compact, energy efficient, and high-performance wireless communication systems by supporting signal modulation, data processing, and RF applications. Through continuous innovation in semiconductor materials and design, this technology drives sustainability, enhances connectivity, and supports the growing demands of an increasingly digital and energy conscious world.
