Exploring nano Bio Interfaces in Sustainable Food Systems: Enhancing Food Security, Reducing Waste, and Minimizing Environmental Impact

Abstract
The growing demand for sustainable food systems has driven scientific interest in nanotechnology, particularly at the nano bio interface, where nanomaterials interact with biological components to improve food quality, safety, and shelf life. This review examines the role of nano bio interfaces in advancing sustainable food systems, focusing on applications in smart packaging, food preservation, nutrient delivery, agriculture, and environmental management. It also addresses potential safety concerns, regulatory frameworks, and the importance of lifecycle assessment in ensuring eco safety. While nanotechnology offers significant opportunities to enhance food security and reduce waste, challenges remain in standardization, scalability, and long term toxicological assessment. Future progress will depend on responsible innovation, green synthesis approaches, and global collaboration to align technological advancement with environmental and public health goals.
